What is the use of brushes?

Brushes are one of the basic tools in the studio of every artist painter. They are used in a variety of painting techniques, such as oil painting, acrylic painting, tempera painting, watercolor painting, and are also used for writing (calligraphy), conservation, archaeology, as well as in cosmetics. By application, we can distinguish m.in. brushes for oil paints, brushes for acrylic paints as well as brushes for poster paints.

What are the types of brush bristles?

• Natural - made of ox hair, horse hair, squirrel hair, etc.
• Synthetic - made of nylon bristles, rubber and goo.

What brushes are used for acrylic paints?

• Round brushes - used for trim fills and precision work,
• Flat brushes - used for retouching, to create boldness, are for various types of paints,
• Contour brushes - are very thin and precise, not so much for oil paints and acrylic, but they are also used for painting porcelain, for example,
• Fan brushes - the arrangement of the bristles allows you to create a mottled effect, glaze, as well as give texture
